Biography

Mizmaar stands as one of the most compelling rock n roll bands of today. The word Mizmaar in Persian language means ‘stringed musical instrument’. The band was formed in the year 2000 by the multi talented guitarist/songwriter Kashan Admani. Initially the line-up was different but as some members of the band left to pursue different careers drummer Roger Faria, bassist Russell Owen and vocalist Daniyal Badshah joined up to form what was going to be a leading mainstream band.

The band recorded its debut album by the year 2002 and launched itself self with a video produced by a local music channel. The song became a huge success and the band started getting offers for concerts and more videos from various sources. The time had come for work on more videos and promotion of the album, so the band made the video of their song ‘Kash’ directed by the renowned video director ALF. This video made Mizmaar a household name and the band became an instant favorite amongst youngsters. The video ‘laut ke aa’ then followed and further strengthened their fan following. The time had now come to release the much awaited debut album titled ‘Kash’. The rights of the album were bought by the largest record label in the country and the album sold tremendously well.

After the great success of their debut album, extensive gigging and touring the band settled down and decided to take a break for recording their follow-up album. By this time the drummer Roger Faria left due to immigration reasons and the band needed to recruit a new member.
