Pass That Dutch (3:40)
From Pass That Dutch CDS and 24 other releases
“Pass That Dutch” is the first single from Missy Elliott’s album This Is Not a Test! The single reached No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 21, 2003. The song contains samples of “magic mountain” by War and “
Potholes in My Lawn” by De La Soul. The song was also featured in the movie, “Mean Girls,” but is not on the soundtrack.
The song’s use of the word “dutch” is in reference to both the dance & drug. The word was removed during its run on MTV, in which the song was aired as “Pass That D****”. This edit has caused some controversy, due to this edit had never occurred on other music video network stations, such as VH1 or BET; this is largely due to the fact that the word’s meaning might have dealt with the dance rather than the drug.

Wild dancing, coughing
