May 2009 arrives and City Pages now hosts the broadcast outcast. He broadcasts from a sound booth tucked away in his St. Paul bungalow, smoking a cigar every now and then, and providing his listeners to a show truly provided by Summit Beer, one of the show’s 4 pillar sponsors, along with All Inc, R.F. Moeller Jewelers, and Fury Motors. The show’s format has changed slightly, to one containing slightly more interviews, with more depth and seriousness to the content, but Mischke is still Mischke, and if you’re lucky you can hear him fooling a collection agent, interview a right winger and push them to their ideals limits, or simply commenting and building on the already quirky news of the day.
City Pages has done the world a favor by providing an outlet for one of radio’s genius. What Rush Limbaugh did for conservative radio, Mischke has done for the radio listener who doesn’t know what they want.
It’s not politics, it’s not news, it’s not even sports,
