Biography

Mirromoon are a german four piece ensemble based in Chemnitz (former Karl-Marx-Stadt 1953-1990) at the Gate of the Ore Mountains. Mirromoon formed in 1995. After an period, associated to the art project “4 Elemente” by Michael Goller, they have been developing their own style between - and music. Their sound combines elements of melancholy ballads, branched harmonies, dodgy rhythms and occasional sonic assaults. All recordings of Mirromoon are self produced. Its members are Marcel Liebing (voc, git), Alexander Friedrich (git), Oliver Keller (bass), Sven Heymann (dr).
The name mirromoon is based on a member’s dream. The missing letter in the middle of the name is said to be a concession to the Saxon jaw. Its story you can read on the homepage of the band on www.mirromoon.de.
