Sa., 28. Aug. – Laternenfest 2010 in Halle

Mit einer Flasche Rotwein im Kopf, auf dem nicht gänzlich von Menschen gefüllten, vermatschten Platz vor der Bühne, warte ich auf Pal Angelskar, den Helden meiner Liebe. Als die Band die Bühne betritt und das Licht angeht, rufe ich "Reverend Lovejoy", in sehnsuchtsvollem Gedenken eines Projektes vor Minor Majority. Doch die Mehrheit von mir ist glücklich, diese Stimme überhaupt einmal live erleben zu dürfen. Das neue Album bereits angehört, freue ich mich dennoch am meisten auf "Wish you'd hold that smile". Vielleicht aber unterschätzt man das neue Zeug maßlos, insbesondere im fast studiotauglichen Direktvortrag.

Die Erwartung verkündete einen Abend voller Sehnsucht, Melancholie - und potentieller Unzufriedenheit. Schließlich ist es ein Samstagabend im Spätsommer und Minor Majority etwas für dunkle Wintertage. Wohlig-traurig plätschernd dürfte die Zeit vergehen, bis man nach Hause geht. …
