My favorite of his jazz rock stuff. It's right in the middle as far as sound goes, its not as tranquil as In A Silent Way but not as abrasive as Bitches Brew. Also, when In A Silent Way ends I feel like it should be longer, and sometimes I can't sit through all of Bitches Brew, whereas with this album everything seems to be in place. All three are straight masterpieces though

"The only musician who received a tribute album before he was even born. Or am I getting something wrong here?" It's about the boxer.

It is very rock-y. I love the blues-rock feel of the introductory section of Right Off. Yesternow is one of my favourites Davis pieces ever.

This is the pinnacle of jazz music right here, folks (if you don't count Bitches Brew, Kind of Blue and Sketches of Spain). It is very good, though.
