Milenasong, the nomad, with roots in Germany, Norway, Slovenia and Croatia, is currently living in Oslo with her family.
From 2002 until 2007 she was living in Berlin, where her musical path took shape, and where Monika Enterprise took her under their wing, and released an EP with name “Can’t Tape Forever” in 2006 and her debut album “Seven Sisters” in 2007.
Milena has been making music for 8 years with her Fostex 4-track as a starting point,
and has a general fixation on dimensional & organic sound.
As a former student of illustration, it is perhaps no wonder that her music is very visual;
she treats her music like paintings.
Milenasong’s influences are many, to mention a few -
Mark Axiak, Sandy Denny, Roy Harper, The Beatles, Keith Jarrett, The Velvet Underground, Arvo Part, Joni Mitchell, My Bloody Valentine, Phil Spector produced music, and the list could be long.
She is currently working on a new project, Lappalie, together with Mark Axiak, a very talented guitarist and songwriter from Sydney,
so yes, she will tape forever !
