Biography

Lahti, Finland

Mikko Aspa is a musician from Lahti, Finland.
In addition he owns and has owned several record labels (Northern Heritage Records, Lolita Slavinder Records, Nykto Tapes, Creative Felony Productions, Freak Animal Records) and plays/played in the bands/projects Noise Waste (noisecore), Nihilist Commando (noisecore), Grunt, Clinic of Torture, Alchemy Of The 20th Century, Nicole 12, Pain Nail and Dorchester Library (all noise/power electronics). Other bands he has played in includes: Fleshpress, A.M., Creamface and Stabat Mater. He also runs a pornographic magazine and incorporates his interest in pornography (particularly taboo/illegal sorts) into his non-metal musical projects. Although never officially confirmed to be the vocalist of Deathspell Omega, it is almost universally accepted as fact that he indeed is, due to the presence of his distinct vocal style and the presence of several projects of his on the “Crushing the Holy Trinity” split with Deathspell Omega. Though he doesn’t claim to subscribe to any racist political ideology, he expresses anti-Zionist sentiment in his project Clandestine Blaze and has stated in an interview that elaborating on the details of racially-motivated crimes in song lyrics is effective in that it arouses intense reaction from listeners more so than the ambiguous violence that most metal lyrics opt for.
