Parties with Midwest Hype as the “house band” led to shows in the surrounding areas including Chicago and college towns where the boys attended their respective schools. They added their keyboards and horns while attending Ball State University. Midwest Hype cut two EP’s in ’05 and ’06 and in 2008 released their first LP called 'Colorful Love' recorded at Gravity Studios in Chicago.
