i learned two things: 1) apparently changing the key of something means you have a completely different song, and 2) studying harmony makes you a pretentious dink

You think that this is a copy of "Exit Music"? Both songs have different chords progressions, "Bring Down" is played with a capo in 5th fret, and "Exit Music" is obviously without capo. I think that both songs sounds more like "Hotel California" by the Eagles. And "Hotel California" sounds like "We Used to Know" by Jethro Tull. =) Casuality? No, the songs are in Re Major, and if you studied harmony, you know that this a tipical chord progresion.

Funny, it's always reminded me of vocal melody of Muse - Ruled By Secrecy.

Yep, it's the same chords as Exit Music by Radiohead - you can actually sing it over the top and it works. Nothing wrong with that though - it's a nice chord progression!

Who does the female vocal on this track? I got the mp3 album from Amazon, and it don't include any of the liner notes.

Wonder why it says unknown album? They should have changed it to 'The Courage Of Others' by now surely?
