“…We were practicing with Audiosis near the end of 2004 and only Mike and I had arrived because the rest where on their way. I remember Mike showing me a new song he had written. At that time I did not think it would match what the band was doing and I remember telling him that we should do something else together to play the songs that we created that did not mesh with Audiosis. I think that was the beginning of Micro-Escopio… Pete Drown

The group started oficially in 2005 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with this unique idea of indie-folk of two guitars with rejected songs of their previous group. Then they incorporated an old drum machine and a small midi keyboard rescued from an aparent eighties trip to the trash. From there they stepped into what they called their auto catalogued sound folk-tronic.

Ensambled that way, they played a few times, singing sentimental songs in a very spanish indie vibe. They recorded a demo of one of those songs which was called “No Me Sigas” but they never recorded vocals and it ended as an instrumental. With that format they shared stage with puertorrican artists such as Los Nervios, Antártica, Mima y Audiosis.

At the end of 2005 and with the discovery of the Ableton application, the dynamic of the group change dramatically. They abandoned their old songs and both Pete and Mike submerged in a sea of programming in computers giving their music a more artificials ound (considering their analog beginnings) but still more ellaborated.
