Michael Kevin “Mick” Taylor (born 17 January 1949 in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire) is an English musician, best known as a former member of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers (1966–69) and The Rolling Stones (1969–74). “He is regarded by many Stones aficionados as the best musician ever to play with the band, and appeared on some of their classic albums including Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St.”Since resigning from the Rolling Stones in December 1974, Taylor has worked with numerous other artists (and, in 2012, with the Stones themselves) and released several solo albums. He was ranked 37th in Rolling Stone magazine’s 2012 list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

Too bad Mick never gets any credit. I mean, yeah Keith is a legend, but Mick is too. He should get just as much credit as Keith Richards does.

it's a shame that not many know who he is. i mean how does the lead guitarist in the world's most popular rock n roll band not get noticed. he's awesome on "get yer ya-ya's out" and "sticky fingers"... bare wires ;)

Le plus grand guitariste des Stones, toutes époques confondues. Après le départ de Bill, ils auraient du le reprendre, Keith et Ron alternant basse ou guitare, en fonction des morceaux ; ça c'eut été top mon pote !!

I love the Stones and love the stuff with Woods but with Taylor they were the best band both in the studio and live. He was amazing and it's a shame that he was quite limited in the studio so a lot listeners don't really get to fully appreciate his guitar playing.

The end of the Stones as their most creative. Anything seeming anywhere near they were when they were at the top of their game was already written before Taylor left, such as Waiting on a Friend or Start Me Up. They went from a class of their own to caricatures of their former selves. The biggest mistake in any bands career.
