Blood on the Dance Floor (4:13)

Cover of Number Ones

From Number Ones and 23 other releases

“Blood on the Dance Floor” is the first single from Michael Jackson’s remix album Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix. Jackson and Teddy Riley created the track in time for the 1991 release of Dangerous. However, it did not appear on that record and was minimally altered before commercial release in 1997. The song it about a predatory woman by the name of Susie, who seduces Jackson before plotting to stab him with a knife. The composition explores a variety of genres ranging from rock to funk.

"A Strong Contender for the "Most Underrated Michael Jackson Song" award". Not really. The song reached #1 in several countries. There are plenty obscure songs that'd deserve the "Most Underrated MJ-Song" award. [2] Yep, there are a lot of Motown songs I'd choose first. Still a fine number though, the best on the album.

This is the only acceptable Blood on the Dance Floor. The two talentless hacks who stole this name need to stop making music.
