It's such an empty going through the motions time of year.
A time you're supposed to spend time with "family" "friends"
and whoever the fuck else I'm forgetting right now.
People work 9 to 5. Sit in peak hour chaos not once, but
twice a day, 5 days a week. So naturally on their holidays they
want to relive that experience by crowding retail outlets around
the country after spending an hour of their lives they'll never get
back, driving around trying to find a park.
Why the fuck do people need gifts if they're family /
friends? All anyone does after Christmas is bitch about how such
and such didn't deliver. The entire world has been brainwashed by
capitalism. Buy, buy, buy. For 1 day. Help boost company profit
margins, so when their financial year ends some dickhead CEO can
brag about how he's running the company and get the pay bonus the
numbers on a payroll miss out on.
If I don't see you any other time during the year why should
I see you at Christmas? Some people are good at being fake like
that, but I refuse to fake a smile.
Fuck off Christmas I'm not religious. But at least I get a

I think it's sad that when mentally unstable people like luka
rocco magnotta murder someone, the media focuses entirely on them.
They put these people on a pedestal giving them the fame and
notoriety they seek.
Whilst their victims are just treated like a small part of
the media circus getting a brief mention.
When people like
Jun Lin lose their life because of some deranged individual
i believe the media should broadcast a eulogy globally with input
from their family and friends.
Instead these ego maniacs are given all the spotlight. Fuck
'em there will be no incentive for future sociopaths to try shock
the world if they see that they won't be put on a pedestal and
given zero attention. Moves like this might lead them to realise
they'd be better off killing themselves and doing the world a
R.I.P. Jun Lin, no one should die with such lack of dignity.

i can't stand people who dwell and dwell on a moment in time
and then drag it out into this big saga. FUCK that. we go to sleep
every night because as cliche as this sounds, every day is a new
whats the point in dwelling. if shit goes pear shaped at one
point in life, it's a learning experience that you evolve from and
that ends up making you stronger.
this is me.
is people who dwell.
life isn't a tv soap opera. fucking roll on.

.... is what it seems like these days living in Australia.
I remember when i was in Europe in 2005, everything seemed so
expensive there compared to Australia.
Now the tables haves turned and the Australian government is
doing absolutely nothing to help the retail market from eroding to
nothing. I've been guilty too off importing identical items for
cheaper from overseas. Why wouldn't i? It's just logic why pay
The only way to describe the Australian government right now
is .. retarded. They're adding the carbon tax to their GST
beginning in July. I can only imagine how that's going to make life
worse for everybody.
In the space of 3 years driving LPG made in Australia has
gone from 50cents a litre to 80cents a litre.
I guess this is what happens when the government gets
desperate to repay it's massive debt brought on by 2009's stimulus
package. TAXMAN. What we do in the past sure does
affect our future.

i've had a pretty quiet day today. i took a day of from my
morning shift, but still woke up early. i guess the human body gets
so used to wake up routines eventually sleeping in no longer
i saw System of a Down last night at Rod Laver Arena on a day
(Feb 29) that won't exist for another 4 years.
It was fucking incredible, the band fed of the crowds energy
which was in high spirits. Unlike most bands it seems like System
of a Down attract real fans that not only know their hit singles,
but album tracks as well! which is good because SOAD aren't the
kind of band that plays a 'greatest hits' type setlist. Everyone in
the entire place was singing along to every song they played!
I don't have a 9to5 job, but simply having a job at all,
shows you the danger of routine. routine erodes your soul and
spirit. it makes you focus on nothing but your job, in a tunnel
vision kinda way just so you don't get fired and keep your income
steady. you become a robot.
That's where music comes in. It offers you an uplifting
escape in a way no medicine can. After a shitty day of work people
unified together at Rod Laver Arena to sing along to one of their
favourite bands. It doesn't matter if you don't speak to anyone
else at these concerts, the energy flowing through the room is
enough to leave you buzzing, it's very cleansing (unless you're the
kind of person that gives a shit about what people think about you
and don't bother singing along you pussy!).
I was stupid to forget my ear plugs going to the concert.
Causing (what i hope) is temporary tinnitus from the exposure to
loud sound. I usually never ever forget which is depressing because
i know the importance of protecting your ears. So i've had a slight
ringing in my ears all day, which has caused me to not do what i
usually do daily, listen to music. i've just sat in silence reading
the ringing has lessened a bit in volume now so i've been
able to start listening to music again in the last 40 minutes,
choosing to listen to my favourite Radiohead album 'Hail to the
Instantly i felt like i had just risen from the dead, the
mundane world around me became colourful in full blown technicolor
instead of the dehumanising monochromatic grey capitalism has
painted it in.
that's the power of music. rant over.

Mastered for iTunes is a bloody joke. There is no such thing
as mastering for the limitations of iTunes. Any music that's
compressed to a lossy format loses fidelity no matter how many EQ's
and Compressors etc... the music is run through. What a stupid
GIMMICK. You want good sound (well as good as it's going to get in
these loudness war times)? buy the CD and import it using Apple
Lossless Audio Compression. ;)

I really hate how when people like Michael Jackson, Amy
Winehouse and now Whitney Huston die, everyone suddenly loves them.
When they're alive, the general masses and the media put them
down constantly they use them as article filler and they're
considered junkies, washed up, crack heads, hopeless cases,
But then they die and bang, their music starts selling like
hotcakes, everyone loves them and the fucking two faced media start
kissing their asses, putting them on a pedestal pumping out tribute
issues of magazines and record labels rush to issue uncompleted
albums or a new Greatest Hits package.
It's fucking disgusting. What a bunch of sheep people are.

I just scared myself because I've realised i've listened
to at least 4+ hours of Red Hot Chili Peppers music for the last 12
years, a week.
Time sure does roll on. I've never been one to care if a band
was mainstream or not. But it's great that they're such a hugely
popular band, no one should be denied listening to this uplifting
soulful music. Their positive energy pulls me through the weakest
life moments and feelings.
Music you connect to and feel is more powerful then the
strongest medicine a doctor could prescribe. I've never felt better
with the aid of medication, throwing some music on has always made
me feel cleansed. It's a beautiful feeling.

JB Hi-Fi sure has lost it's magic for me as a music fan.
For years it had a varied selection of music. Not just
mainstream, but independently released too. Now with people valuing
music less than ever and digital downloading taking off, their
floor space dedicated to music CD's has decreased significantly in
the last 10 years to the point it's just a ghost of it's former
Now they focus more on electronics like TV's, Camera's,
Computers and home theatre it seems.
It's really depressing i remember going there and feeling
like you had a bounty of music at your finger tips, if you were a
music fan the world was your oyster. You go there now and it's
mostly a mainstream selection of popular releases. They've gone
from attracting the diehard music fan to moronic muzza's and
moronic plastic bitches that need some disposable pop to blast in
Instead of stocking every album by a catalog artist they
usually only have their most popular chart toppers, screw variety
and those underrated classics.
They've also become very over priced especially when taking
into account how much CD's are on American websites like
Amazon.com. Their imports are like $30+ and specialty items like
boxed sets are usually $50-$70 more expensive then buying directly
through American or UK online music stores. Considering they can
offer their staff a 20% discount and still turn a profit on sales
there's no excuse.
I used to go once a week but now id rather just not risk

All my life, i've been judged.
I'm sure many people have and i'm sure the cycle won't ever
stop unless the world ends.
The funniest thing about someone else judging you is, them
expecting you to actually care about what they have to say.
But i've never cared.
The way i see it, why should i? I am ME after all so why
should i give a fuck if bitch lips over there has a criticism?
Living the way and doing what i want to, makes me happy.
Drawing from my own personal experience, the people that hate
you are jealous of you. Jealous that you can well and truly not
give a fuck and not let the worlds crippling idea of who someone
should be affect you the way it does to their insecure selves.
Living with your heart on sleeve is truly the way to go.
Their chorus of laughter may be loud at that moment in time,
but looking back, you always come out on top as the guy with balls,
because you did whatever the fuck you wanted to without censoring
yourself, without bowing down to the pressure to 'fit in'.
I always knew i was better than them and smarter than i
received credit for.

It's so weird sitting on the other side of six years.
Six years ago in Jan. '06 i had just gotten into the Arctic
Monkeys after they dropped their now classic 'Whatever People Say I
Am, That's What I'm Not'.
For some reason until last night despite knowing back then
that they were without a doubt going to become one of the best
bands of my generation (b-sides like "Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweet
Hearts" were fucking awesome), i never saw them LIVE.
How the hell did i let that happen!?
(Probably due to my stupid younger self rule where i wouldn't
see a band live if they only had 1 album out, 'cause they wouldn't
have much material to draw from.)
Without a doubt one of the best live bands i've ever seen.
Awesome energy and great vibe between the band and the crowd. So
many songs sounded even better live then they already do.
'Pretty Visitors' was absolutely snarling, like a punk/indie
rock hybrid live. Shame the bitches wait i'm sorry 'fans'
behind me only wanted to stand for the 'good songs' -- yeah they
felt the need to proclaim this loudly-- so they sat down during
'Pretty Visitors' and other essential Arctic tracks like 'Still
Take You Home', 'Suck It and See'. Fucking bandwagoners man, only
standing for the singles and they were hating on Miles Kane too for
joining them on stage. Obviously they've never listened to 'The
Last Shadow Puppets'.
Most bands can't sing as good as they do on their records
live, but Alex Turner owned every verse and chorus.
Arctic Monkeys.... the last great rock band as the world
slips deeper into bands shamelessly rehashing the past and

I'm sick of people acting 'alternative' because they don't
have an Apple product.
Don't act so precious and not one of the crowd when every
single phone & tablet manufacturer these days pretty much
clones the iPhone and iPad to a fucking T without any of their own
creative flair - Samsung i'm looking at you, you boring wangs.
Oh and since you're so alternative, then surely you'd know
Android devices out number iOS devices right? That's right biatch
i'm suddenly cooler then you. Bing.
I'm pretty sure at one point i read Google's chairman was on
Apple's board of directors around the same time the iPhone was in
development. Which leads me to believe the fact Android mimics the
layout of iOS is definitely not an accident.
Then you've got Samsung, who provided the CPU for the first 3
versions of the iPhone. So yeah total coincidence that they've
brought out the Galaxy phone.
I used to have a Sony Ericsson prior to owning an iPhone. It
was a great phone. But like everyone else, they jumped on the
iClone bandwagon too.
I'm not an Apple fan boi, i think people should use what they
end up liking best, but when it's all the same why support
counterfeits, if the counterfeits are selling then who's gonna
bother creating anything original?
PS. Fuck Samsung for being lazy.
