One of the most successful Latin crossover acts of the '80s, Miami Sound Machine was formed in 1975 as the Miami Latin Boys, by keyboardist Emile Estefan, Jr. Performing at a wedding shortly afterwards, the group was joined by guest vocalists Gloria Fajado and her cousin, Merci Navarro Murciano.   • They really should just merge this and Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine with Gloria Estefan's tag. It's all the same, the only difference being the name. It's been the same people playing with her since MSM days anyway and it doesn't seem like there was any bitterness or animosity over her name getting top billing anyway. (Probably because her husband is the creator of the band, but still lol)

  • Just bought this brilliant album '12" Dance- The Definitive Collection' and I don't buy albums anymore!;1;-1;-1;202&sku=249769 Thought you guys might appreciate it ('Dr Beat' is on CD2) and rattles through many of the greatest 12" Dance singles of our time. Ah the memories!
