About this album
It is the band’s first studio album to feature current bassist Robert Trujillo. Death Magnetic is also the band’s first studio album released through Warner Bros. Records, although they still remain with Warner Music Group, which also owns their previous label, Elektra Records. Outside of North America, they are distributed by Universal Music Group as they remain signed to Vertigo Records in the United Kingdom.

In my opinion they made massive progress after st anger which was horrible(i liked only frantic). Yes,they fucked up mixing but you can always get gh3 version from p2p (hay Lars xD) which sound s lot better. My fav tracks are That was just your life,all nightmare long,my apocalypse,The Day That Never Comes but others are ok too.I vote this 7 or maybe 7,5 out of 10. Too bad next album will fall probably on 2015 :(

a decent album, has some good ideas and riffs thrown in but sometimes it feels a bit rushed.. i would never buy the album, but i don't dislike it either 6/10

V kinda right, But Jame's powerful voice was always one of the good points about Metallica, back in the 80 he was a fantastic vocalist. But now, you really can't count on this.

No one cares about actual singing talent in thrash metal. Both James and Dave can't sing. But the difference is, Dave can still sing in the same way like he did in the 80s, his voice hasn't changed. James' voice however has completely changed and he sounds ridiculous now with all his high-pitched, weak yodeling.
