Stockholm, Sweden (2005 – present)

From Stockholm, Sweden comes a new act, and its name is Mersi Bowcos.

The band consists of
- Anders Adlén (lead vocals, bass, backing vocals)
- Peder Kristofferson (guitar, backing vocals, lead vocals)
- Michael “Mike the Mic” Kjellander (guitar)
- Sofia Aletorn (drums)

Previous members
- Erik Haqvinsson (drums)

Mersi Bowcos was created by Peder Kristofferson and Erik Haqvinsson in late 2005. They wanted to realize their dreams of playing in a band and at the same time put their - at the time - somewhat mediocre music skills and creative mind to good use. They joined forces and started putting the band together. An old friend, Adlén, was asked to play the bass and immediately joined. Now one question remained; who would sing?

They turned to another old friend, Kjellander, who picked up the mic and with it his nickname “Mike the Mic”.

As all new bands do, Mersi Bowcos (still under the name Listless) started playing covers of songs by artists like, among others, The White Stripes, Blur, Snow Patrol, The Raconteurs and Pixies.

The change came in late summer of 2006 when they more and more started focusing on their own creations. In October that year they dropped the old name Listless and picked up Mersi Bowcos. Kjellander started playing guitar and instead Adlén became lead singer.

In March 2008 Haqvinsson went on hiatus and Sofia Aletorn joined as drummer.
