Edinburgh DJ collective, the Merry Pranksters have been educating the good folks of Scotland for 13 years now. their music policy (as their namesakes say…) is “IF YOU LABEL IT THIS, THEN IT CAN’T BE THAT”. they play a w-i-d-e variety of styles all mixed together and designed to keep you guessing. They’ve supported many artists on their visit’s to scotland, (Soulwax, Orbital, Grandmaster Flash, Andy Weatherall, Andy Smith, Mylo, Erol Alkan, David Holmes, Alex Paterson, Wiseguys, Depth Charge, Propellerheads, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Mushroom, Kitachi, Krash Slaughta, Jake Slazenger, Cut La Roc, Stanton Warriors, Derek Dahlarge, John Carter, LTJ Bukem, Peshay, DJ Noize, MC supernatural, Mike Paradinas, Wreckage, Jenga Heads and Ritchie Ruftone.)
They’ve also played skate + snowboard jams, art exhibitions, radio shows (including radio scotland) and way too many parties. You can currently find them playing 2nd saturdays at Edinburgh’s city cafe.
