Biography

With their debut album Savage Skies, Meridian 65 founders Lee Saldivar and Rudy Saldivar have created a compilation that is firmly rooted in Pop/Rock, yet offers a wide variation of feel throughout the eleven-track album, a testimony to their veteran status and understanding of commercially appealing music and the desire to keep an album interesting.

With music and a production style hearkening back a little to the late eighties and early nineties, Savage Skies is a conceptual work, delivering inspiration and encouraging personal change that caters to a much wider audience via lyrical content that can move the staunchest soul.

With all members hailing from the San Diego area, Meridian 65 was grown over a two-year period, and initially worked as a cover act to create the musical and personal bond necessary to bring the original material to life, and withstand the rigors of developing and promoting a first-class original recording act. Meridian 65 consists of seasoned writer, vocalist, and Keyboardist Lee Saldivar, bassist and co-producer Rudy Saldivar, drummer Jonathon Price, and guitarist Josh Chiericetti.

Having made the rounds in a few area clubs Meridian 65 has taken account of the music’s prospects by presenting the material without the benefit of any pre-marketing campaigns and have achieved what few groups do when pitching new music to the general public, attesting to the album’s strength and the ability of the band to deliver it.
