Biography

Meretrio is an instrumental music trio from Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil in 2004 which explores a wide array of genres, from jazz to brazillian music to latin music, mixing traditional jazz standards with non-traditional arrangements.

The trio are working with 6 wind instrument players and have just released a new album featuring the 9 musicians, entitled “Projeto Meretrio”.
Another album in the works featuring Meretrio as a backing band for Pedro Assad (Banda de Argila’s keyboardist) will probably be out later this year.
