Formed in the yer 20XX, Mental Crutch was first known as No Idea, to battle the waves of shitty music and gay post-hardcore bands popping up across the city of Port St Lucie. And battle they did, as flannel shirt after flannel shirt fell to the pure energy of such hits as Moist Of Your Life, and Man In The Box. After a daunting confrontation against the other band called No Idea, the group was forced to change it’s name to Mental Crutch. As Mental Crutch, they squashed every indie metalcore band in their path, and released an album, Televisionfoot. Then:Tragedy struck. A freak accident with a keyboard forced to band to get a bassist. One man, Brandon Sellers, stood up, then stood down again. Two more albums were released, until the band could find a new bassist named Cori Brown. She was immediately kicked out. In 2013, Mental Crutch released their breakthrough album, Spaces Filled With Ashes. This album rocketed Mental Crutch to the top of the charts and set off their label’s popularity, allowing prosperity for all. Now Mental Crutch asks you to please buy their cassettes so they can eat. After many more albums, a new bassist, Ravyn Scherker, joined the band. Her fate is unknown. Even now, six years after the tragic event that was fabled to kill our brave hero’s, the world sits, and waits, for hope that Mental Crutch can maybe one day embrace society’s ear drums
