About this album

The Maggot is an album by Melvins, which was released in 1999 through Ipecac Recordings. This album is part of a trilogy: The Maggot, The Bootlicker and The Crybaby. The Trilogy was released on vinyl by Ipecac Recordings (The Trilogy Vinyl, IPC-011, November 27, 2000).

On the CD version all songs are split to two tracks and there is a spooky sample of the song “Toy” (the first song on The Bootlicker) after “see how pretty, see how smart” followed by silence.
