Biography

Too melodic to qualify as Ambient, too textural for Jazz, too familiar for the Avant-Garde, too contemporary to be considered Classical, too solemn for New Age, and too deliberate to be wholely Spacemusic, Meg Bowles easily exceeds the sum of her influences. Her rich synthesizer tones shift by incremental hues from blue to gray, while sparse percussion samples give motion across darkened lands. Her earthy synth evokes textured emotions somewhere between Copeland’s “Dark City” and Isham’s “Romeo Is Bleeding.” Bowle’s music plays out like the chapters of an old diary, each composition building upon the previous one, until, at close, the listener achieves a sense of knowing and understanding the author’s experience.

Outstanding by any measure.......and this is true for most of Meg's music... An absolute must for any E.M. collection.... She can conjure up pure magic with Elysian soundwaves that transports the listener into cerebral ecstasy. Bless her.

Meg Bowles is one of my favorite ambient artists. Her newest album is "A Quiet Light" and carries on right where she left-off. Similar artists are: Amongst Myselves, Jonson, Thom Brennan, and Robert Scott Thompson. Highly Recommended!
