Medieval Steel are an American epic metal band from Memphis, TN, which was formed in 1982. The band released a self-titled EP in 1984, a demo in 1989 and a compilation album, "The Dungeon Tapes", in 2005. This album contains all of the tracks from the aforementioned EP plus newly recorded songs.

    I disagree, but maybe because i was in front rows, where everyone went ecstatic all the time, of course reception of older songs were totally better, because this stuff is epic, cult and legendary. We do not feel so strong connection to their new songs... yet

    @Lionheartattack: I've heard a pretty high quality bootleg of their gig at KIT. The band was good all things considered, but their vocalist Bobby Franklin was kind of off-- like he was nervous or something. He trash talked their more melodic songs (saying "Yeah, that's not one of my favorites either, I don't know why we fucking played it" when they played their new song Heaven Help Me) and seemed pretty awkward between songs when a song didn't get a huge pop from the audience. The audience was okay at best, didn't seem like some of them gave a shit about their new songs, even though new songs like The Man Who Saw Tomorrow, Powersurge and Circle of Fire are on par with their old work.
