One of the early Italian power-electronics projects, Mauthausen Orchestra, in the person of Pierpaolo Zoppo, started in 1982, releasing tapes on his own label Aquilifer Sodality.   • Pierpaolo Zoppo passed away about 3 years ago and I still feel like there aren't enough people who appreciate his work. I know people who make this kind of harsh industrial aren't looking for fame, but even within the power electronics scene I feel like M.O.'s work has gone mostly unnoticed when compared to acts like Whitehouse, Sutcliffe Jugend, or Ramleh. Zoppo's work was quality noise, some of the very best from the original power electronics scene in the 80s. I hope that one day people realize Zoppo's efforts and appreciate his work more.
