The most popular song off the Doctor Zhivago soundtrack, “Lara’s Theme” was written by Maurice Jarre for the main character’s love interest. Several variations of the tune are found across the movie. Paul Francis Webster added lyrics to create “Somewhere my Love”, a song that reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1966.

Interesting... all this island festivity was a surprise, not what I'd expected from this classic film score.

A Truly Beautiful and Emotion raising piece of music !! However the music I'm listening to while writing this, I don't think is the actual original version from the film, which is even better and more haunting than this piano based version!!
