Matthias Aeschbacher (* April 14th 1945 in Zurich ) is a Swiss conductor .
Aeschbacher was the son of pianist Adrian Aeschbacher was born, who was also his first teacher.
Since 1964 he was accompanist at the Zurich Opera House , was appointed Kapellmeister in 1968. In 1976 he was Music Director of the stages the city of Essen . 1978-1987 worked Aeschbacher as music director, opera director and head of the municipal concert life in Lübeck.
