• cool shit!
• @WaywardWinds I'm not one to go slapping the hipster bumper sticker on people, but...
• The new album is some groovy stuff. Chill music indeed.
• wow. good stuff indeed.
• good sounding (albeit borrowed) music. uninspired, boring vocals and tired, trite lyrics. sounds like he said to himself, "how close can i get to sounding like a old black man as possible?" Cast in that light, this music is almost disrespectful in its lacklusterness. and this is why he is not famous. there are people who have already made this music and have made it far better. if you're thinking about checking this guy out, just listen to the Five Blind Boys of Mississippi, Dixie Hummingbirds, the Swan Silverstones and the like.

• Surprised by how relatively unlistened to he is.
• Big Inner is in our Top 100 Albums Of The Year: http://www.peterguy.merseyblogs.co.uk/2013/12/getintothis-top-100-albums-of-1.html
• incredible how understated he is as a vocalist/performer yet how big the songs sound in spite of that
• Matthew E. White made it into my recommended artists of the month, check them and others out, here
