Born and raised in NJ, this singer/songwriter has an eclectic writing style. With his acoustic rock mentality, Matt Perrone is flipping today's music on its side. With influences ranging from Springsteen to Bret Michaels, Matt Perrone appeals to all ages. In 2006, he relocated to Charlotte, NC.
Matt Perrone debuted on the scene in 2003 with the release of "Something I Wanted." Songs that speak from the heart, "Something I Wanted" is an acoustic/rock CD that is introspective and inquisitive. Tracks such as "Someday" and "Fantasy" are upbeat and catchy, while "Entering Washington" and "Leaving Home" slow it down to help you look inside. With an appearance on LIVE: Regis & Kelly to support the song 'Fantasy', Matt Perrone has not looked back.
Three years after "Something I Wanted", Matt Perrone returned with "With or Without You" in 2006. A giant step forward in songwriting, "With or Without You" includes some of Perrone's most downloaded songs - "Drive Away" and "…And I Pray". It also contains "Dream of Me", easily the most catchy song on the CD.
"Make Believe" is Matt Perrone's first CD in 4 years and it does not disappoint. Taking time to craft his songs, this album picks up where "With or Without You" left off . This album is personal yet relatable. With lyrics that play the "what if" game, Perrone writes in a manner that could be for anyone. This CD offers some upbeat tracks such as "See You Next Tuesday" and the title track "Make Believe" while also taking time to slow it down during "Permission", "Time to Go" and the haunting piano-based "All My Memories." With well crafted hooks, "Make Believe" will have you humming along for days.
