Maserati is a rock band from Athens, Georgia, USA whose sound is best described as post-rock with math, progressive and psychedelic rock influences. Maserati began in 2000 with Coley Dennis on guitar, Steve Scarborough on bass, Phil Horan (later replaced by the late Jerry Fuchs) on drums, and Matt Cherry on guitar. They are currently signed to Temporary Residence Limited, based in Brooklyn, NY.

Still quite shocked about Jerry. I hadn't heard of them until they opened for Mono here in Albuquerque. Went to buy some of their CDs, saw that the guys were having a drink and went to ask them to sign them for me... Ten minutes later, they still had them. I looked over to find Jerry with my Passages CD, drawing an afro on his head with my bright yellow highlighter :) :)

So weird. I had seen them open for Mono in Boston not much more than a week before he died. He gave my friends and I some earplugs before the Mono set because he saw us trying to keep our ears from bleeding: "here, you might need these..." lol... he had some awesome shorts on that night too. RIP

I just heard about Jerry's passing today, incredibly fuckin' sad. Maserati put on 2 incredible performances here in New York opening for Mono, with the drumming being the stand out aspect of their set. My condolences to the other members of Maserati, and everybody else effected by his passing.
