Mary Hopkins

Mary Hopkin (no ‘s’) has kept a low profile since her meteoric rise to fame in 1968 as a signing to the Beatles’ Apple Records and her release of ‘Those Were the Days’.

Mary Hopkin Music was established in 2005 to enable Mary to release her music on her own terms. Its first release was of ‘Live at the Royal Festival Hall 1972’. Christmas 2006 saw a download-only release of ‘Snowed Under’, a cynical look at Christmas.

And now, the third release on Mary Hopkin Music, ‘Valentine’, a new release from the archives which includes three of Mary’s own songs.

And following the success of ‘Snowed Under’, there may be a Christmas EP featuring her past Christmas songs.

The site that once allowed one to purchase 'Snowed Under' is currently CLOSED. Does anyone out there have a link that would result in me getting me an mp3 copy. It should be, I'm betting on it, a significant contribution to a project I've been working on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. God Blesses, you know.

Somebody PLEASE figure out how to get Temma Harbor on Last FM as a full track. Little known in the rest of the country, this tropical love song was a rage in Florida back in the day. It's fun, perky and full body music... While not quite Jammin In the name of the Lord, or Don't Worry Be Happy, if you dig love tunes and tropical sounds this is for you. Damn shame that it didn't have more national coverage. I drove to California from Daytona Beach, and the heads in Frezburg had never even heard it! PEACE OUT Y'ALL!
