Mary Fahl has an almost Opera-like voice, exploring the reaches of folk and soft new age rock music.

She was originally with the band October Project from 1993 to about 1995 for 2 albums until they split up.

Fahl’s most recent solo album is called The Other Side of Time and was released in 2003. This work was a mix of pop, opera and folk. She has great talent as showcased in her singing one song in Italian.

Her self-penned song “Going Home” was featured on the “God’s and Generals” civil war epic soundtrack. That beautiful piece has a celtic flavor. Overall her voice can tell a story, cry the blues or take you to a far away castle on a moonlit night with candles glowing from misty windows.

    Hi, Mary! Love your work! I am an independent film maker, (Volunteer actors and reenactors) and would like to get permission to use the climax of the song GOING HOME in a love scene where the Civil War ghost of Captain Beauregard returns to his lost love, near the end of her life (she gets to be young again!). It is a surprise spin-around kiss scene. I need about a minute of the song from rising climax to the fade.... and then cuts off just before your words AND WHEN I PASS BY.. . Who would I contact for that? Do you own copyright? I have all your OCTOBER PROJECT stuff and really think you are inspiring. The song actually inspired the ghost return sequence, in fact, in my film. Would appreciate any help you could give me! - Captain Beauregard
