Marry Ann Kennedy (b. 1967/1968 – Wikipedia) - broadcaster, musician, writer and producer.

Her earliest memories in life are of music played by her mother and sister after putting Marry Ann to bed. She grew up in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual community in Glasgow. Ms. Kennedy was brought up in a Gaelic-speaking home (her name is Mairi Anna Nic Ualraig in Scottish Gaelic - Wikipedia). Her family had a reputation of good singers and pipers.

Marry Ann Kennedy’s musical education started at the age of six. Her first instrument was the piano, later the harp. She finished the Music School of Douglas Academy in Glasgow in 1979 and continued her studies at the Glasgows’s Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Mary Ann Kennedy is also active in other professional fields, such as writing music pieces, featuring in TV and radio programmes as a journalist, and producing music. As a writer she composed a suite celebrating the 1400th of St. Columba’s death and other works. As a broadcaster she produced many programs for the BBC and after six years decided on a freelance career.
