    "old school" is a derogatory term. it is patronizing and puts labels on music beyond styles and crosses into generations. puts older music in a safe little box on the shelf, away from what's happening today. today, for many people, it is unheard of to be into music older than a few years old. parents can't pass music on to their children anymore, etc. but music that came before is just as timely, and relevant. more so, in many cases. songs and artists like this should be heard and often. i jump around styles and periods all the time and i wish others did too. there's a reason the music was RECORDED. it can be heard again and again...check out what's out there! you'll be surprised!!
