After more than a year, 489 artists and quite a few banned tracks, I've finally crawled my way to my 10,000 track. What was this milestone track? Well, it was:

    Martina McBride
    A Broken Wing

    My next goals:
    Long term: 20,000 tracks!
    Short term: 500 artists

Sat 18 Aug – Missouri Festival

This concert was amazing! From the entire group's performance of Let's Get It Started, to Jordin's performance of This Is My Now. The lineup consisted of:

    Jordin Sparks
    Blake Lewis
    Melinda Doolittle
    LaKisha Jones
    Chris Richardson
    Phil Stacey
    Sanjaya Malakar
    Haley Scarnato
    Gina Glocksen
    Chris Sligh

Standing ovasions are highly recomended when going to this concert. Many many many performances were so good they had you standing up and claping before they ended! The best performances by far were LaKisha's I Will Always Love You and Jordin's This Is My Now! Gina's performance of Who Knew was also another great performance that you'll allways remember. Right before the intermission, Blake began to beatbox which led right to You Give Love a Bad Name. But twords the end all the rest of the guys came out and helped finnish the performance! The last 6 performances were all for Jordin. I (Who Have Nothing), Heartbreaker, You were Ment For Me, A Broken Wing

So here we go...it's Finale Night, and we're all a-twitter (or not) for how it went down. Three songs apiece, and here's the breakdown:

    Blake Lewis:

You Give Love a Bad Name - A better performance, but not quite as good as his first time around. But the boy definitely worked that stage like a pro.

She Will Be Loved - A good vocal, but not a great vocal. It was definitely passable, but yeah, it was a safe choice.

This Is My Now - Not his kind of song...it was rough, but he tried to make it work.

    Jordin Sparks:

Fighter - She's definitely off to a rough start tonight. You can tell that Randy favors her, because he gave here a big ol' pass on that round.

A Broken Wing - It was not better than the original, but it was definitely good. Jordin gets the edge for round 2.

This Is My Now - If the competition is based on this song, Jordin wins on an unequal playing field. First, the song was so much more geared toward her than Blake. …

It's going to be a rough night in Chris R Fanland tonight. Not a good night at all...

    Top 3:
Blake Lewis (When the Stars Go Blue) - I know, I know...Ryan Adams...cooler version...wrote the song. It's all good, but a lot more people know the Tim McGraw version, and Blake did a good job with it. Not stellar, but very good
Melinda Doolittle (Trouble Is A Woman) - Great song, great performance, but there still is a bit of a disconnect for me. And thank you Simon for asking her not to act shocked at the compliment.
Jordin Sparks (A Broken Wing - I don't know if this was the best vocal of the night, but it was the best performance. Does that make sense? She's such a great performer, and is only going to get better.

    Bottom 3:
Chris Richardson (Mayberry) - It was ROUGH. He got off much better from the judges than I thought he should have.
Sanjaya Malakar (Something To Talk About) - BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD! Make this boy go away, please?
