Martie Maguire, (aka Martie Erwin), born October 12, 1969, is a country music songwriter, recording artist and musician, born and residing in Dallas.
Martie plays fiddle and mandolin in the group.
Martie is a founding member and leader of the Dixie Chicks. Her sister Emily Robison is also part of the Dixie Chicks. The group has been performing since 1989.
She is married to Gareth Maguire, a Roman Catholic from Northern Ireland.
On April 27, 2004 Martie Maguire gave birth to twin daughters, Eva Ruth and Kathleen Emilie.
