Martha Rose began writing songs in the Berlin anti-folk scene.

Taking influence from the folk of Peggy Seeger, the soul of Sam Cooke, the country of Bob Dylan’s Desire and the pop of Linda Womack, Martha is at the forefront of the next generation of young British female singers.

Her debut album, recorded in London, Brighton and Berlin is scheduled for release in 2013.

i happened upon martha rose and co at fuel a few nights ago, but unfortunately had difficulty hearing over the idiots chatting at the back, shame because what i could hear was bloody brilliant! the harmonies were beautiful and that chap can't half play the banjo! :) i'd love to catch another gig and get hold of the ep, too.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that the information is about a different Martha Rose! The music up in this page is from Martha Rose based in Brighton and Oxford and Manchester, and the myspace is www.myspace.com/martharosemusic If anyone knows how I can solve this, could you let me know? Best wishes x
