  • Mark Sholtez At The Rocks Market Sydney

    29 Nov 2006, 08:59 by anneskies

I traveled to Sydney last week and while I was up there Aussie Jazz singer Mark Sholtez did a free gig at the rocks market. He played for about an hour and did all the songs from his album Real Street. He even did the cover of All I Want Is You which was great for my current U2 addiction since seeing them in concert last week.

I even got photo with him and he signed my cd. Hes a lovely guy, very down to earth.

And now for the questions (according to the numbers):

What was the first song you heard by 6?
Probably No Aphrodisiac, from the Triple J Hottest 100 Volume 5 compilation album. It's the first track. I immediately fell in love with Tim's voice.

What is your favorite album of 2?
That's a hard choice even though there are only two of them! I really like the sparse, tight sound of the first one, but I also love the more complex sound of the second. Let's say the second for now.

What is your favorite lyric that 5 has sung?
'Ohhhhhhh wham bam thankyou ma'am!' from Suffragette City. It makes me grin.

How many times have you seen 4 live?
Not yet! I'm going to though, on the second of August. I'm quite excited.

What is your favorite song by 7?
