Love every song. Can't get enough of this album. There's a kind of Clasical meets cabaret meets old Irish and English folk songs weaved into the whole thing. I really dig it.

Mark's playing his songs beautifully. Like a good wine, he has aged well and is now giving us a taste of the relaxed, sit-by-the-fire style music along with the heavier output of yesteryear. Brilliant.

Exactly half of the tunes on this album are waltzes. Knopfler must be going mad! In a good way though, 'cause he has yet again made a beautiful album. Perfect for long walks in the autumny darkness with iPod in tow.. :)

Crimson is a wonderful album, I can't get enough of it. So far my favourite tracks are 1, 6, 9, 11 and 12. I'm so happy!

Bought it yesterday and I must say that it is better than expected. Although it's nothing new or groundbreaking, it still is a very heart warming, romantic and laidback album, much as Shangri-La was, in my opinion. It also is a bit lower on the typical Knopfler guitar, but on the other hand, it adds some folk instruments which go very well with the songs. Great album!
