Solid Ground (3:22)
From If A Song Could Get Me You and 2 other releases
Solid Ground is the 5th track on Under The Surface album, and the 4th and last single to be released (in March 2007).
After several weeks, it reached #1 on Norwegian Radio Charts even though it didn’t have music video to be promoted.
Marit started writing the song when she was only 14 years old, and it’s claimed for having the best and most inspirational lyrics from the album.
It talks about the idea of stading up even when they try to make you think there’s no solid ground under your feet; and the fact of and proving the world you’re able to do something good, something new, even though the only one that believes in you is yourself.
In live performances, Marit plays it being accompanied only by a keyboard.
