Biography

Mario Dederichs (born July 11, 1988) is a German composer, singer and guitarist.

He was born to an entirely non-musical family. His family didn’t possess any musical instruments until he bought a very cheap keyboard at the age of ten. He enjoyed playing songs he knew on his keyboard and also got into composing original songs. In autumn 1999, he started writing music on the computer by inventing simple melodies on the keyboard and sequencing them using a MIDI notation software.

After a brief hiatus from composing, he rediscovered his passion for music at the age of 13. A little while later, the first improvements could be seen and his composing skills improved steadily. On September 2003, he bought an acoustic guitar and learned how to play. He started to create melodies to chord progressions instead of doing it the opposite way like he had done before. Playing the guitar led him to new directions and possibilities. Up to this day most of his tracks are written on this instrument - the guitar is one of the most essential parts of his composing work. Moreover the music itself has improved throughout the years. Starting with generic video game music, he has, over the past years, gained musical flexablity (which he does have to have, seeing as in how many bands he is).

He composes film and video game music under his birth name, which is (currently) available freely on the internet on his homepage www.nocius.de. Mario is the founder of BB productions and is involved in:
Backseat Education, Baibureta Overdryve and The Love Dictators
