anybody can say which album is closer to this one ...I listened to misplaced childhood and I didn't really like it(A single collection as well)...however I'm crazy about Anoraknophobia esp this is the 21 century... and they have +15 albums!!!!!

Overall, I like the Fish-era Marillion best, but, oddly, I keep coming back to this album....

It's impossible for me to choose my favourite Marillion record, but this is definitely one of the best candidates.

Anoraknophobia is easily my favorite Marillion studio record. It contains 5 of my top ten favorite Marillion (Hogarth era) songs: Quartz, When I meet God, Separated Out, This is the 21st Century and especially If My Heart Were a Ball it Would Roll Uphill. The rest of the record is great as well. The double Marbles CD is excellent too, but it only contains three of my top ten favorite Marillion (Hogarth era) songs (The Invisible Man, Neverland and Ocean Cloud).

i can easily go through the whole album without any complain. they're all great songs.

On their first self-financed album, Marillion goes boldly where no one had gone before... ;-) A lot of different styles and a very experimental album, but still some great songs, notably This Is the 21st Century, their most amazing song in my opinion.
