Biography

Mariano Miranda was born on the 19th of August 1971 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

At an early age he went to live in Mar del Plata, where he started to study guitar in 1979.

In 1986 he performed in Spanish Communities, radiostations like LU6 and LU9, Auditorium Theatre, and also in the Public Library.
And in Buenos Aires in the International Book Market, in the Italien Casino and in the Argentine Guitar Club.

In 1988, adviced by Maestro Narciso Yepez he followed his guitar study with Irma Constanza.
Then he moved to Buenos Aires where he attended the National Music Conservatory “Carlos Lopez Buchardo” (1990).
Within that year he performed in the Cafe Tortoni, Radio Argentina, Automovil Club Argentino, etc.

In 1993 he went on studying, this time under the guidance of Graciela Pomponio de Martinez Zarate.
In 1994 he won a “Promusica” competition.
In 1995 under the auspice of the “JuventudMusiacal” organization he gave a recital in Zarate, which was organized by the Dirreccion de Cultura Municipal.
That same year he performed in Neuquen in a guitar cuarteto “Entrecuerdas”.

In December 1995 he applied for the International Guitar Seminary in Porto Alegre, Brasil.
In 1996 he performed as a solist in the Buenos Aires Symphonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestros Migual Angel Gilardi and Edgar Ferrer.
He obtained the degree of Profesor Nacional de Musica specialized in Guitar.
After that he performed in the Coliseo Theatre, Centro Casaclara, etc.

In April 1997 under he is given the award “Profesor Jorge N. Oliver” by the International Rotary Club, and in June 1997, under the patronage of the Moreno Rotary Club he performed with the pianist Maestro Roberto Panno, a piano-guitar concert.

In December 1998 he performed as a solist in the Sala “Miguel Cane” under the auspice of the Secretaria de Cultura de la Nacion.
In February 1998 he is convocated by the Secretaria de Cultura de la Nacion to participate as a solist in the “Mrs. Chiara Lubich Homage Concert” under the patronage of the Prime Italien Minister performed in the Buenos Aires Law Faculty.
In 1998 he performed in Radio Nacional as a solist and in 1999 in the International Book Market together with poets Cuca, Baron and Jorge A. Abraham.
He also took part in concerts in the Mar del Plata Colon Theatre, Radio Cultura, Club Ferrocarril Oeste, etc.

In April 2002 he went to live in Palma de Mallorca, Baleares, Spain.
From that year he has been giving recitals on the radio and television and in hotels like the Arabella, the Mar d’avai, the Sombid and in restaurants like el Olivo de Deja, Mojito de Port Pollensa, etc.

In November 2003 he performed his first European recitals in Italy and France.
In September 2004 in Germany.
In April 2005, Portugal.
