Got an opportunity to meet/work with Marianne's wonderful accompanist on this album, Paul Trueblood. An amazing, wonderfully talented man, who told me some great stories about the making of this incredible album.

Her voice is perfect for the Kurt Weill 's songs, dirty and rough just as the lives of those characters.

No shouts? What a pity. This album is a true work of art which shows Marianne's incredible talent for interpretation, her voice just takes you back to the Weimar Republic.
