Marianne Dissard has released her second album, “L’ABANDON” in January 2011. An ambitious and accomplished album, that sees her teaming up with an international posse in addition to her Tucson touring mates. From co-producer BK-One (Rhymesayers) to Canadian guitar hero Luke Doucet, Italian composer maestro Christian Ravaglioli to compose the songs, Thøger Lund (Giant Sand) and Tucson sweethearts Sergio Mendoza, Brian Lopez, Salvador Duran, Silver Thread Trio, Gabriel Sullivan and Connor Gallaher.

A lyricist, poet and activist, documentary filmmaker and multimedia performance artist, singer Marianne Dissard was born within sight of the Pyrénées mountains in the South of France but has lived in the American West since the age of 16.

Named one of “50 French People That Count” in France-Amérique magazine, Marianne showcased at SXSW 2010 and the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. She released the critically-acclaimed album “PARIS ONE TAKES” in the spring 2010, as a free album download. That album was recorded while on tour in Europe with her Tucson-based band of Sergio Mendoza, Brian Lopez, Geoff Hidalgo and Olivier Samouillan.
