Beautiful stage presence, elegant style, magical voice and to the point, the essential. What do you need more? I'm not going to comment the contest, because I'm fed up that politics are involved more than voting for qualitative music. I'm very disappointed, sad and angry about the result, he deserved more than that, at least the TOP 3. Marco was too good for this show, that's the the truth. Most Europeans haven't understood the poetry of "L'essenziale". Maybe If Mengoni had sung in English, he would have got more votes.

He was my favourite ( with Koza Mostra) he really deversed to win. But I was so sure he wouldn't win, they don't give the first place to countries like Italy, greece, spain and so on....

@Inezha: guess the rest of the european "poor heartless creatures" can spot lack of talent & italian arrogance as easily as me ;) Seriously a bit surprised about how well this did. Can only think that for once the Mediterranean nations felt sorry the italians, as they'd moan so badly in previous years and not even send someone to represent them. Vulgar voice to a vulgar face with a vulgar presentation on stage (only him, no choir no nothing even? egocentric scale certainly blown over the top) so 7th place and 126 was a good robbing of nations with actual talent who were left behind, such as yours. Be satisfied.

Yes, he was great. I voted like crazy, but zero points from Estonia to Italy, I don't understand that. Was I the only one who liked that song? Also I don't understand why such a low placing on contest, he deserved to win. Half of the Europe must be either dumb or deaf.
