This line up released the independent six track ‘Last Drinks’ EP in 2005 and in 2006 contributed two songs to a split 7” with Canada’s Alternate Action on Longshot records. The bands pub rock sound combined with traditional Oi! stylings drew comparisons with the likes of Menace and On File by reviewers.
Not long after these releases Ander parted ways with Marching Orders and Doug was introduced to the fold on rhythm guitar while Ben moved on to bass duties.
2010-2011 sees the band looking toward Europe for a possible tour after having played in America in 2008.In early 2010 the band released The album ‘Days Gone By’ , featuring 14 brand new tracks.
Drawing influences from both the rich heritage of Australian pub rock and the pioneers of the Oi! and streetpunk movements; combined with their experiences in punk, rockabilly and hardcore bands; Marching Orders plays street level rock’n’roll straight from the heart, no matter what the trends of the day might be.
