I felt a black man in my teeth, what a way
Jesus is coming, he acts my age, and he always looks the same
I said a good seed was on your break wasn't a mistake anyway
Well Jesus is coming better act our age

I do hear Nirvana on this track, especially in the bass. I really enjoy it. Love the catchy chorus,

Hate to compare other bands to nirvana...but..... And other people already have so I don't feel quite so bad. The bass sounds like Lithium or something.

Andy Hull said that Nirvana's 3rd album was a big influence for this whole record. Yeah, his songs about faith always are really confusing... but he's definitely a Christian at the end of the day, from what I have read in interviews and the like.

Wow. I came to this page to talk about how it kinda sounds like Nirvana in some parts, but I've been thoroughly beaten to that. I think this song is about not needing religion, but MO's songs about doubting his faith are always really confusing.

Listen to the whole album, Hull definitely doesn't have an anti-Jesus/Christianity stance. It's more about quesitoning his faith than anything.
