Man Watching the Stars is the solo project of a 21-year-old fiddler named Brendan Paxton. He started playing violin later than most, around eight years old. While his roots are mainly in classical violin, he studied Irish and Scottish styles independently after he turned fifteen.
The work of Man Watching the Stars follows an ambient, unstructured style, with the goal of creating an atmosphere of emotion, to tell a story. He is strongly influenced by Alexandre Navarro and Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh.
