25 Feb 2012, 11:31 by TheartofstuMy Top 200 Electronic Tracks (Today, at least...)
It has been almost 2 and a half years since I made my top 321 electronic tracks blog, and after I got a comment on it recently I decided to update it. Also trimmed it down from 321 to 200 and put a maximum amount of 3 tracks per artist, which was difficult at times! Vangelis gets 4 though because he is awesome. The end.
Also it's pretty heavy on the D&B / Dubstep, so if you aren't into that this may not be for you!

7 Jan 2010, 21:46 by infobombNo one album from the '00s stood out for me as sounding uniformly beautiful, innovative, and worth celebrating, but so many albums came close. They each had some amazing, outstanding music, but didn't sustain it consistently.(*) Hence I share my personal "album of the decade" award between these ten (no particular order):
A third of The Unutterable by The Fall (2000)
At its best, this is just what some of us want from The Fall: straight-for-the-throat music (if in doubt, distort it) and incomparably witty and literate lyrics.
A third of Snow Borne Sorrow by Nine Horses (2005)
This album was recorded in a super-high-fidelity way that stands out oddly when played against anything else. Voices, drums and other sounds are unfeasibly real and in-your-face. How did they do it? They made odd time signatures sound gorgeous, but some of the musical ideas are drawn out too far: if Burnt Friedman were less chilled out, and if the single B-sides Get The Hell Out and Birds Sing for Their Lives had been included on the album…

In recent years, Makoto has proved himself to be a serious and diverse producer; creating some truly timeless hits and backing them up with outstanding live shows across the globe.
Appearing in his first mix compilation since 2006, Makoto was the first and most obvious choice to move the series forward from the ever-popular “Masterplan” mixed by DJ Marky.
The compilation is a tight and upbeat selection of Innerground music past, present and future, featuring artists such as Calibre, Logistics, DJ Marky & Makoto collaborations and some stunning tracks from up and comer S.P.Y. As well as this, there has been an element of outside influence from some of our most respected and favourite labels around including CIA and Human Elements.
Makoto’s smooth style and attention to detail compliment the Innerground catalogue immensely and the result is a full…

"Thompson sa" is a brazilian DnB, Liquid-Funk and Minimal-Techno producer.
Some time ago I've added him at his userprofile (thompsondesa),
because I liked his musical taste, not knowing that he was producing music.
One day he sent me his tracks and I was amazed! He has got an innovative style and I think he deserves to get some more attention from the folks...
That's the reason why I want to share his tracks with you, dear reader! :)
Check it out
Thompson sa - Found At The Floor
A typical Liquid Funk track. I love the groovy bassline and the ups & downs...
Thompson sa - Expectations
A really chilled and dreamy track. I could listen to it over and over again...
Thompson sa - Sunrise
A track where you can really feel the brazilian sun rising, while listening... ;)
Thompson sa - Fine Space
A very smooth and ambient, but still pushing track. It's time to relax!
Thompson sa - Jazzquatro
As the name indicates, a jazzy, and liquid track. Easy-listening music...
